ongoing reconciliation process in Afghanistan

it is more than 3,4 months in which we are hearing about firm negotiation program with Taliban. likewise, many of medias are busy with the illusion disseminated by " High peace council " about their triumph in dialogue with Taliban. but as an observer, and peace practitioner i am absolutely in doubt if i the process get it's success with current combination and policy.
then, what is wrong with current efforts in the field of peace-building in Afghanistan ? actually the basic illusion is the concise understanding of roots causes of ongoing conflict.  the other significant factor is ignoring conflict& peace studies scholarship provided in other conflict zones of the world. it would be appreciative, if we have had 10 till 15 peace expert amongst current peace council.
